Ever since E-40 passed him the baton on 2012’s “Function,” the 24-year-old booming star has been holding down his city like a real G is supposed to. As his team continues shine and breakthrough as household names – with Sage the Gemini shooting to the top via tracks like “Gas Pedal” and “Red Nose” – and Su preps his own forthcoming debut with Sincerely Yours, the producer-rapper joined the REVOLT Nation last week, when we stopped by Oakland and visited two high schools including Mt. Diablo and Kennedy High during our stop in the Left Coast.

While the NBA’s self-proclaimed King, LeBron James plays the hardwood court tonight, another self-professed regal, Kendrick Lamar, held court last night-delivering a slam dunk performance.

Accompanied by a live band, the Compton emcee rocked the 2014 NBA All-Star Saturday Night competition with a fierce set that found him performing songs like “m.A.A.d city” and “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” all before the league’s annual slam dunk competition.
